Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and return to the pot.
  3. Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the sausage and onion. Break apart the meat and cook until the onion is translucent and the meat is cooked through. Drain the excess grease.
  4. Add the Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, marinara, and tomato paste. Simmer for 3-5 minutes. Add into the large pot with the drained pasta and stir until combined.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, egg, parsley, 1/2 of the mozzarella, and the Parmesan.
  6. Add 1/2 of the pasta to a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Top with the ricotta mixture, then the remaining pasta. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
