Gyros with Tzatziki

Pan-seared gyro turkey slices on warm naan with a fresh cucumber-tomato salad and creamy tzatziki.
Ingredients
Produce
- 1 English cucumber, diced
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes, quartered
- 1/2 red onion, diced
- 1 Tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1/2 tsp dried dill)
Meat & Seafood
- 2 (8-oz) packages gyro slices
Pantry / Dry Goods
- 1 (6-ct) package Indian-style flatbread
Sauces & Condiments
- 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 (12-oz) container tzatziki
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and dill. Mix well and store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the gyro slices and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until browned and heated through. Transfer to a paper towel.
- Place the flatbread on a plate and cover with a damp paper towel. Heat in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
- Assemble the gyros by layering a few slices of meat onto the flatbread, then topping with the tzatziki and cucumber salad.
- Serve extra cucumber salad on the side.
