Margherita Pizza

Classic margherita pizza made with ready-to-bake dough, San Marzano tomato sauce, and fresh basil.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to high, with your rack on the top. Let dough sit to rest.
  2. Combine the tomatoes and salt in a blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Remove the dough from the bags and place on a floured surface. Divide each dough ball into two pieces of dough.
  4. Roll each piece into a 10-inch circle that fits on a baking sheet. Shape each piece into a circle. Once hot, put one of the shaped dough circles on the skillet. No need for excess flour. Immediately spread the dough with the San Marzano sauce and shredded cheese.
  5. After 3-4 minutes, when the bottom of the pizza is crispy, place the skillet directly into the oven. Broil for 4-5 minutes, until browned and bubbly on top.
  6. Top with the basil and garnish with red pepper flakes, if desired.
  7. Repeat with remaining pizzas.
